These two types are primarily employed for show or display cars, and are far too bright to use on the highway in typical driving conditions.
There is the possibility that xenon bulbs will not work in your car. Fortunately, it is possible to locate packages that allow their use in older vehicles. You may even wish to purchase such a "conversion kit" for no other reason than to update the look of an old car.
